Organization

The general direction of the Institute is the responsibility of an international Executive Committee, whose composition is renewed every two years. The follow-up of the execution of IASI's programs is the responsibility of a Permanent Office, which has sites in Panama and Rio de Janeiro, in facilities provided by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) of the General Comptrollership of the Republic of Panama and by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) of Brazil, respectively. IASI also has representatives in the countries of the region.
